Whether you want to learn the basic skating skills or practise the axel jump, you can find a suitable adult skating group among HTA’s versatile adult skating classes. Our popular adult figure skating classes are tailored precisely to the starting points and needs of adults.
Spring 2025 classes and categories (updated December, 9th)
Adults beginner’s class
The beginner’s class is intended for those who have almost no previous experience in figure skating. The class focuses on the basics of skating and getting a feel for the ice, introducing skating in a safe and encouraging environment.
Adults 1
In the Adults 1 group, the focus is on the basics of skating and improving skating skills. The group is suitable for adults who have been skating for a while and are ready to practice turns and basic spins to enhance their basic skating skills.
Adults 2
In the Adults 2 group, skaters continue improving their basic skating skills and also progress to more difficult movements such as jumps and spins. The group is suitable for adults who have skated for a while and can practice single jumps.
Adults 3
Adults 3 is an active group where all aspects of skating are practiced: jumps, spins, steps, and spirals. The group is suitable for adults who have been skating for a few years and are looking for new challenges in their training. Skaters joining the group should have mastered single jumps and basic spins and be ready to practice the Axel jump
Adults 4
Adults 4 is the most advanced group, offering challenges in all areas of skating: jumps, spins, steps, and glides. This group is aimed at adults with more experience in skating and who practice double jumps. Skaters joining the group should have mastered basic steps, all single jumps, and basic spins
Adults technique class (level Adults 3 and 4)
Technique class for adults, where the focus is mainly on the technique of jumps. In addition to the jumps themselves, the technique training includes step and spin exercises. The group is meant for adults who train on level 3 and 4.
NOTE! New addition
Starting autumn 2024, we will also offer Program Ice on Saturday evenings in Herttoniemi. Adult Program Ice, for independent program and technique practice.
The spring 2025 timetables will remain basically the same and the classes will start on week 1. Schedules, times and prices can be found in the table below!
NOTE: New in the spring season Adult beginners and Adult 1 groups in Herttoniemi on Saturdays at 11.55-12.45
In addition to the training fee (autumn season or spring season), a club membership fee of 35 € covering the entire 2024-2025 season is added to the price.
Remember to get a skating licence! The club does not insure adult skaters, so make sure that your insurance covers figure skating.
